A speculative design project about mens violence against women. Black & Blue is a fictional company, selling a series of makeup and skin care products marketed towards women who live with domestic abuse. The project is ment to critique and start discussions about shaming women and victims of abuse. The products were developed carefully and with extensive research on domestic partner violence, but also through the use of human stem cells to create and heal skin, while covering up bruises and other unwanted traces of abuse. The products figures in a speculative future or perhaps an alternative present, when men’s violence against women have become even more mundane and would be completely accepted as the norm. Through this scenario the Black & Blue project aims to ask questions about our current society.

Critical design project through website, package design, photo editing and branding. The logo is a visualization of bruised letters, and mascara after crying.
